A blog counter
(also known as a hit counter) displays the number of times that your
blog has been visited. You can add a counter to a blog not just as a
visual element but also to count hits for measuring the blog's
popularity. There are many websites that allow you to create counters
and provide the HTML code that can then be used to add the counter to
your blog.
