How to Transfer Pictures From Picasa to Photobucket

Export Picasa Images

Step 1Launch Picasa and open one of your photo albums to display its images.

Step 2Hold down your “Ctrl” key and click images you wish to send to Photobucket. If you would like to send them all, press “Ctrl-A.”

Step 3Click the “Export” button at the bottom of the user interface to view the Export to Folder window. Click “Use Original Size” if you want to the exported images to keep their original sizes. Otherwise, click “Resize to” and type a value in the Pixels field. You can also use the slider next to the field to set a value. The number you enter determines the image’s length or width. Picasa applies that value to the image’s largest dimension.

Step 4Click “Browser” and double-click the folder where you want to store the images.

Step 5Click “OK” and choose “Export.” Locate the “Export Location” text box at the top of the Export to Folder window and note the folder path that appears in that text box. You need to know that when uploading to Photobucket.

Import Images to Photobucket

Step 1Launch PhotoBucket and log in to your account.

Step 2Click the “Upload” button and select “Bulk Uploader.” That link is not easy to locate, but you can find it inside a paragraph near the center of the page.

Step 3Find the folder containing your Picasa images in the “Choose a Folder” panel. Click that and Photobucket displays the folder's images as thumbnails.

Step 4Click “Select All” to select all the images. If you don’t want to upload them all, click the ones you want to upload. Photobucket will display the selected images at the bottom of the page as you click them.

Step 5Click “Upload” to upload the images.
