OAU Students Were Angry At Prof. Osinbajo, Ask Him To Apologise

Obafemi Awolowo University students on Thursday, February
5th, were upset over the absence of the All Progressives
Congress (APC) Vice-Presidential candidate Prof. Yemi
Osinbajo.
The Professor of law was expected to talk in a campus
interactive session conducted by OAU Campus Connect Initiative
to enable him address members of the OAU community on why
they should vote for the APC.
The program was scheduled for 10 am, but started only at 12.30
pm.

The huge crowd, mainly students left angrily, shouting 'NO'
when they were told that APC vice-presidential candidate would
not be coming.
The over 2,000-seater capacity hall, which was initially filled up,
was left by students.
It was learnt that most of the students hissed out and put on
displeased faces and walked out on the person, expected to
stand-in for Osinbajo.
One of the students, known simply as Jude said the absence of
Osinbajo made him unhappy.
He said: "I am one of those that have been canvassing people to
come for the interactive session only to hear that he is not
coming. This is embarrassing and I am really unhappy with it. "
Another one added, "Almost everyone is angry. We stabbed our
classes and felt that we should honour him with our presence
but he fumbled. You can imagine the large turn-out of
students that came

" The hall was filled up and some people will have to stand will
the increasing turnout. He really needs to apologise to the
students. A lot of people are really very angry and dissapointed,
I must tell you ."
During his lecture, Dr.Dotun Ogunyemi, one of the
representatives of Osinbajo promised the students that the
educational sector in the country would be advanced if APC
won the election.
Two month ago, students of OAU have staged a peaceful protest
on their campus against the visit of President Goodluck
