Free WordPress Video Tutorials for Beginners

WordPress is one of the best platform for Blogging but people who just started with blogging or using BlogSpot platform, and looking forward to start with WordPress, they find it hard to use WordPress. WordPress is bit technical, but if you can manage a Blogger blog, managing a WordPress blog would not be any tough. I realize, when I started with WordPress, I never got any WordPress guide or a complete WordPress video tutorials, which will help a newbie (Back in those days) to get started with WordPress.

Here I’m compiling a list of those videos tutorials for WordPress, which a beginner needs to start with WordPress.

Why Video tutorials for WordPress:

If images speaks hundred Words, similarly Videos speaks thousand. WordPress interface, dashboard, installing plugin and all these steps sounds easy for existing WordPress user like you and me, but for a newbie it’s pain to understand Installing WP plugin, Installing theme and so on. More over configuring plugin is pain and in these WP video tutorials, I will include videos of some of the WordPress plugins which I use here at ShoutMeLoud.

Lets start with classic What is WordPress video. If you are first timer and never heard of WordPress, it’s a blogging platform which will let you create your own blog. It comes in two variants: WordPress.com and WordPress.org.

WordPress.com will let you create free blog like yourname.WordPress.com (Custom domain name) is also an option. On Self hosted WordPress blog, you need to install WordPress on your server and you manages it. This is bit technical but self hosted WordPress site have it’s own advantages over free one. We will look into that later or you can learn about it here. So, lets watch this video and learn a bit about history of WordPress and what is WordPress:

Second: Installing WordPress

After installing WordPress, there are few essential settings which you need to do. In this video, you will learn about few essential settings which you need to do after WordPress installation.
