There is strong evidence supporting the existence of
extraterrestrials in the universe. The evidence is water. Water is
considered as the utmost important thing for survival and it is found
that water is found everywhere in the universe in the form of icy vapor,
ice etc.
We are not alone after all, we have a company and NASA will solve the mystery very soon.
NASA chief scientist Ellen Stofan on Tuesday during a panel event on Tuesday said, “I believe we are going to have strong indications of life beyond Earth in the next decade and definitive evidence in the next 10 to 20 years.”
Stofen added, “We know where to look. We know how to look, in most cases we have the technology, and we’re on a path to implementing it. And so I think we’re definitely on the road.”
NASA believes that the existence of extraterrestrials, “It’s definitely not an if, it’s a when,” said Jeffery Newmark, NASA’s interim director of heliophysics.
They say that they are not pointing towards alien civilization something like green men around but for much smaller like the microbes.
NASA is backing their claim by the recent discoveries they have made.
They have analyzed the atmosphere above Mars polar ice caps and findings suggest that 50 percent of the Northern Hemisphere had oceans up to a mile deep and it was for a period of 1.2 billion years.
Stofan said long period of time is necessary for life to get complex.
Earth’s magnetic field is protecting the atmosphere and water from being blown away by solar winds and hence the ability for life to develop.
Mars don’t have significant magnetic field there by allowing wind to take away water and atmosphere.
Paul Hertz, director of astrophysics at NASA, said future telescope will help scientist scan the atmosphere of rocky planets around distant stars for life. It is not just in our solar system but also in some planets around other stars.
NASA associate administrator John Grunsfeld, said “The science community is making enormous progress, and I’ve told my team I’m planning to be the director of planetary science when we discover life in the solar system.”
