The 83-year-old went through the knife last week after doctors located several kidney stones in his body. A representative for the World Boxing Commission confirmed that King was hospitalized, but gave no further details.
Although the reason for the surgery is still sketchy, but the surgery was reportedly successful and King is said to be recovering in the hospital.
