Get rid of Chrome’s PDF Viewer and use your own

Without a doubt, the innate PDF viewer in the Google Chrome brings in nothing less than immense utility as it allows users to get a quick-view of their PDF files. However, on the darker side of things, it fails to present the tools that other applications, namely Adobe Reader, present.
Hence, if you plan on getting rid of the Google Chrome’s PDF viewer to use an entirely different application, here’s how you do it:

• Open Google Chrome, and head over to the omnibox, located at the top of your screen
• In the omnibox, type “about:plugins”
• Scroll down and located the Chrome PDF Viewer
• Click on the “Disable” button, and you are good to go

That’s all; your Google Chrome would no longer open your PDF files in its built-in PDF viewer, instead, it is going to ask you to either download the file, or use any of the applications that you may have installed on your system.
If you ever plan on changing, the procedure is the same, and all you have to do is click on the “Enable” button.
