Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is still continuing his
media protest and hasn’t given any interviews despite his side winning
the Madrid derby.
The Portuguese assisted Javier Hernandez’s 88th minute winner in the second-leg against Atletico Madrid, which helped Los Blancos to progress to the Champions League semi-finals.
But despite this massive win, Ronaldo continued his media black out, which he started after the Champions League home defeat to Schalke in March.
He said at the time that he won’t talk to the media until the end of the season and it seems he is sticking to his word.
Ronaldo did, however, take to social media to celebrate the derby victory, tweeting: “Another important step in this UEFA Champions League competition. Thanks for your support.”
Real Madrid qualified for their 31st Champions League/European Cup semi-final, and their fifth straight appearance among the last four in Europe.
Los Blancos are aiming to become the first team to defend their title since the inception of the new Champions League format in 1992, and will find out who their opponents will be in the draw on Friday at 12:00.
