The Chelsea standout won the second Birmingham Metro Performance of the Week poll with by putting a barrel on 15,026 of 29,068 votes. Spain Park's veteran slugger Rodney Anderson came in second with an impressive 7,600 votes in his own right.
Cheatwood was clutch in two big games for his Hornets. He went 4-for-4 with 2 RBIs in a 10-0 win against Benjamin Russell. He also hit two home runs hit two home runs in a 15-6 win win against Dadeville.
Who's going to claim that title over the first 10 days of April? There's another "Fab 14" on deck this week who deserve some votes. The Birmingham metro area saw a player score eight runs across a doubleheader on one day over the last evaluation period.
We also saw two stellar arms continue to make their cases for the best pitcher around town. There's also that Stovall kid who seems to crack this honored roll call every single week so far in 2015.
Each week, a list of the top performances across the Birmingham Metro area will be published on AL.com. A poll will also be featured along the honor roll over the last week. We'll present the candidates and it will be up to the votes to decide which player had the best performance.
Key point: We're looking at the best individual single-day performance here. Not the combined hit totals or pitching line across the entire week.
This poll will close at 2 p.m. on Friday. The winner for the previous week will be announced when the new candidates for the ensuing week's Performance of the Week honor are presented.
Coaches must call in their games to AL.com at 1-800-283-4024 or 205-325-2427 the day of the game for their players to be considered.

Here are this week’s nominees:
--Matthew Cerfolio, John Carroll: He scored eight runs in one day across a doubleheader sweep against Shades Valley. He went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and four runs in a 14-10 win in the first game. His encore was a 2-for-3 effort with an RBI and another four trips across home plate.
-- Zach Cupps, Gardendale: He started a key 3-2 area win against Walker with a two-run homer in the top of the first. Then he scored the winning run in a key 3-2 area win against Walker. He finished the game 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
-- Hunter Davidson, Pinson Valley: Yet another example of a player who excels on the mound and at the plate. The senior righty twirled a one-hit gem with 13 strikeouts while also going 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and three RBIs for an 8-1 win against Shades Valley.
-- Mason Duke, Spain Park: The Duke pitched all seven innings and gave up just four hits, one earned run and one walk while striking out 15 of the 21 outs he recorded in a tight 2-1 win against Vestavia Hills in Class 7A, Area 6 action.
Duke was 5-2 across his first seven starts this year with a tiny 1.08 ERA. He had surrendered just 24 hits and had posted 51 strikeouts in his 45 innings against top-tier lineups this year.
-- Carson Eddy, Briarwood Christian: He rapped out a 3-for-4 hitting line in a huge 12-7 win in a key Class 6A, Area 9 game with Homewood. He had a triple and two runs scored.
He also added a single and an RBI in the first meeting with Homewood over the last week.
-- Gene Hurst, Oak Mountain: The freshman right-hander gave up nine hits but only gave up two earned runs for the Eagles on the road to beat Class 7A No. 7 Hoover 6-3 in the second game of a doubleheader.
Hurst's potential was evident as he moved to 2-0 for the year while walking four and fanning five along a complete game.
-- Josh Jones, Ramsay: He went 3-for-4 with five RBIs and also earned the win on the mound in a 17-3 win against Leeds. He threw five innings and gave up five hits and three earned runs on the mound. He walked two and struck out two in the run-rule victory.
-- J.D Kubiszyn, Mountain Brook: The slugger makes another performance of the week roll call after he went 3-for-5 with a grand slam, a double and seven RBIs in a 18-13 ERA-killer against Class 7A No. 4 Hewitt-Trussville.
-- Cole Lepchitz, Corner: He had two singles, a double and a triple on his way to scoring four times and pairing that day up with five runs batted in along a 17-0 win against Dora in Class 5A, Area 10 play.
-- Collin Lillie, Thompson: Lillie shined in a 7-0 win against Tuscaloosa County. He improved to 5-0 and allowed just four hits in his complete game effort. He struck out eight Wildcats and gave up just one base on balls.
-- Nathan Nicolosi, Pleasant Grove: Nicolosi has gotten it done on the bump and in the box for the Spartans this year. He gave up two two hits over seven innings to lead the Class 5A No. 7 Spartans by Oak Mountain in a 2-0 victory. He struck out 10 and walked just three batters. He also drove in five and scored three times against Carver-Birmingham during the evaluation period. He also stole two bases in that game.
-- Sonny Potter, Vestavia Hills: Potter continued to flash the form that saw him commit to Alabama last year during his sophomore campaign. He threw a four-hitter for his fifth shutout of the season for the No. 3 Rebels in a 7-0 win against defending Class 6A state champion Spain Park.
He improved to 6-0 and has given up just four earned runs across his eight starts this spring. Potter also threw his fourth shutout against Lincoln (Fla.) after giving up just four hits and issuing one walk in a duel against an opposing hurler who has signed with Spain Park. He struck out three batters in that outing.
-- Hunter Stovall, Pelham: He crushed two home runs and drove home five Panhtersr in a 13-2 win against Class 7A No. 6 Thompson. The Mississippi State signee also scored three runs in that outing.
-- Nathan Stover, Mortimer Jordan: The Blue Devils got a complete game six-hitter from Stove in their 6-2 win against Springville. He walked two and struck out one. He also drove in a run and went 1-for-3 in a 13-3 result that swept the doubleheader.
-- Conner Walker, Indian Springs: He gave up just one earned run and struck out eight B.B. Comer hitters in Class 3A, Area 8 action. Walker was tagged for just five hits, but struck out seven in his complete game effort.
