Archive: Ireland lose Six Nations championship on points difference

On the final day of the Six Nations in 2007 Ireland beat Italy in Rome by an enormous margin, scoring seven tries in the process.

A late try by Scotland looked to have given the championship to Ireland but France scored a try of their own in the last play of the game to win the championship on points difference.
