Acer has come up with an updated version of its
education-focused Chromebook C910. Reportedly, the Chromebook will be available
in US in April at a price of $499.99 (approximately Rs. 31,200). The upgraded
version is some Rs 12,500 costly than the older version that was launched in
January.
The updated Acer Chromebook C910 has on board a
fifth-generation Intel Core i5-5200U processor. The device also retains the
durability features from previous version. Acer said it can withstand daily
damage and features shell that can withstand up to 60kg of pressure, corners
that can withstand drops from 45cm, and reinforced hinges for increased
durability
The Acer C910 Chromebook houses 4GB of RAM, 32GB of SSD
storage and a 15.6-inch full-HD (1920x1080 pixels resolution) display. Acer
claimed that the Chromebook can deliver up to 8 hours battery life.
Connectivity wise it include Wi-Fi 802.11AC with MIMO
technology, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and HDMI ports. It weighs 2.2kg
and measures 393x256x24.2mm.
