Earlier this month, rumors began swirling that Ne-Yo eloped with his new girlfriend, Crystal Renay, after the couple emerged on Instagram with matching ring finger tattoos. They have yet to address the rumors, but Ne-Yo’s arist Sonna RelĂȘ had no problem shooting them down.
“No, [he’s not married]. No, no, no, no,” she told Hip Hollywood.
When asked why she thinks Ne-Yo would get something as permanent as matching tattoos with Crystal, Sonna replied:
“You can kind of remove them, can’t you? But yeah, I know what you mean. It’s a commitment.”
As for whether or not she’s met the new woman in his life, Sonna says they’re actually great friends.
“I have [met Crystal], yes. We’re really good friends. We’re very good friends. We follow each other on Instagram. Every time she’s here, we always meet up. She’s a really sweet girl. I love her a lot and we get along really well. She’s very down to earth.”
We were first introduced to Crystal last summer when photos of the model began surfacing on Ne-Yo’s Instagram page. Initially, they seemed to have more of a situationship than an actual relationship because he refused to call her his girlfriend. However, since he’s gone as far as to get his and her tattoos with Crystal we’d say it’s safe to assume that things have gotten pretty serious.
