LONDON — Arsenal has made its first signing of the
January transfer window, bringing in Poland youth
international Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw.
The English Premier League club did not disclose a fee
for Bielik, but British media reported he cost 2.5 million
pounds ($3.8 million).
The 17-year-old Bielik can play as a holding midfielder
or as a center back, and is set to work initially with
Arsenal's Under-21 side with a view to progression
through to the senior squad.
