I always give my best, says Yaya Toure

Toure has attributed hardwork
as the key behind his fourth
African Player of the Year title.
The 31-year-old midfielder became the first player to be
named Africa's best four times beating off competition from
compatriot Pierre Aubameyang and local favorite Vincent
Enyeama to the title.
In the post-award conference, Toure told media that he felt
'lucky' to win it considering the exploits of other
contenders.
"I always try to give my best whenever I'm on the field of
play," Yaya told media.
"It was a close one because Vincent and Aubameyang were
impressive in their respective clubs and national teams as
well. This time around, I would say luck did it again and
I'm really proud about this."
Yaya is yet to lift the Africa Cup of Nations and he said
with the caliber of players in the Elephant's fold, the team
will be hoping to emerge as champions.
"To be honest with you, we [Cote d'Ivoire national team]
want to win major championship but it has been pretty
difficult because development have come to African
football," he continued.
"I always wish to but it has been very difficult because
sometimes you do well, while sometimes one can perform
badly. All depends on whether you have a go or bad team.
"Going into to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, we have a lot
of fantastic young players who want to learn and achieve,
it will really be amazing to see what we can do.
He also added that his English clubside have the depth of
quality players to prosecute their English Premier League
games in their absence.
"I think it's always a difficult decision to make because I
have to leave my club and play for my country even as we
have crucial games and you know that the English Premier
League is very tough.
"Manchester City have a fantastic squad and I believe they
can do without me while on national duty," he concluded.
